Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. Ownership and Copyright

ForecastFR is owned and operated by Stowers Scalable Strategies and Analysis, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. All software, content, designs, and documentation are © 2026 Stowers Scalable Strategies and Analysis, LLC. All rights reserved.

2. License Grant

Subject to these terms and continued payment of subscription fees, Stowers grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use ForecastFR for your institution's internal research administration purposes.

3. Restrictions

You may not (a) sublicense, resell, or redistribute ForecastFR; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code; (c) use ForecastFR to build a competing product; or (d) use ForecastFR in violation of applicable law or any sponsor's award terms.

4. Data Privacy

Your award data, budget records, and personnel information remain your property. ForecastFR processes this data solely to provide the service described in your subscription. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except sub-processors required to operate the service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

ForecastFR is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stowers' total liability under these terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. In no event shall Stowers be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

9. Regulatory Scope and Limitations

ForecastFR is a budget monitoring and forecasting tool. It is not a certified financial reporting system and does not replace your institution's official financial accounting systems. Budget forecasts and projections are estimates only. Institutions remain responsible for official financial reporting to federal sponsors per applicable award terms and 2 CFR Part 200.

10. Records Retention

ForecastFR retains budget records, alert history, and audit logs for a minimum of three years per 2 CFR §200.333. Customers may request earlier deletion in writing, subject to applicable regulatory retention requirements.

11. Privacy Policy

ForecastFR collects only the information necessary to provide budget forecasting and compliance services: account credentials, organization details, imported award data, and product usage telemetry. We do not sell personal data.

Sub-processors

ForecastFR relies on the following sub-processors to deliver the service:

• • Supabase — managed Postgres, authentication, and storage
• • Anthropic — Claude AI inference for budget intelligence queries
• • Lovable — application hosting and edge runtime
• • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing

GDPR Rights

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing of their personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@forecastfr.com. We will respond within 30 days.
